Leesburg–Where It’s At!

May 31, 2012

This Friday is June 1, which means First Friday is happening in downtown Leesburg! After you get over the shock of it being June 1st, hop in the car and head downtown to find out why Leesburg is THE place to be. Leesburg is located in Loudoun County, one of the fastest growing counties in the country. Why is this, you may ask? Well let’s see, the Town of Leesburg boasts:

*beautiful countryside to run/walk/bike throughout
*more wineries to visit than there are days in a month
*top rated school systems
*excellent dining opportunities, many featuring local produce and meats
*shopping- from a deal at the outlet mall to an authentic Leesburg antique only to be found Downtown
*homes galore! Need a home? Leesburg is building plenty of them! From fabulous single lifestyle apartments to single family homes, there is a wide range of size and style of homes to suit a young professional or a growing family
*organized town events such as First Friday!
*HORSES, HORSES, HORSES
*proud hometown to The Redskins–GO SKINS!

As you can see, our booming small town is an attractive place to live for a wide range of lifestyle and personalities. How great to have the small town feel with big time offerings! I am especially excited to get downtown and support Leesburg’s First Friday event this month as yours truly will be featured! That’s right you can find me and my team at the Rouge Spa at 17 South King Street www.rougespa.com. This fabulous Spa has welcomed me in to feature my line of accessories right there in their shop! If you have never been inside of Rouge, you are missing out. You walk in and just take a deep breath and automatically feel more relaxed. Anita, the Spa owner, has an amazing selection of products from Olive Oil rubs to perfumes to men’s shaving cream and even a rubber ducky to make your little one smile. She offers a unique blend of American and European product lines and is even making her very own exclusive line of makeup and body balms and more. Behind her shop is an amazing spa where you can relax with a facial or a massage or something I want to try, a hot salt rub! MMMMMM! AHHHH!

Here is a sneak peek at a few of the products that we have placed in Rouge. You’ll have to come and see us this Friday evening to see the fabulous pieces that we have selected for Rouge and of to see the Spa of course!

I love this silver metallic tray table seen here with some fine soaps from Rouge. The tray on top is removable and features a mirrored top. GORG!

Check out these awesome tall metallic wheat bundles featured in the Rouge front window! (And don’t mind my reflection..HA!)

I will also be supporting my beloved charity at the First Friday event, the IIIB’s Foundation. Carolyn Rodenburg, founder of the IIIB’s will be at the Cooley Gallery showing off her incredible baskets that she makes for women battling breast cancer. It is so unfortunate to have such a need for these baskets but for women going through such an incredible battle, these baskets bring them hope, smiles, relief, and even a backscratcher! Check out the IIIB’s at www.keepthecandleglowing.org and stop by the Cooley Gallery to meet Carolyn!

    Hi Lauren.
One of the outstanding observations that I have seen of your work is the consistency in great scale and balance. In fact when the eye is continuously observing your rooms, there are no open spaces for the eye to catch. Crossing a room with an imaginary line from ceiling to floor or at any height from point to point is smooth. For instance from crown molding in crossing the tip of a lamp shade, passing the top of a vase, and so forth to the floor, at different heights are all tuneful to ones eye, this is powerful in your designs. You’ve filled them all with a harmonious feeling. Wonderful job! Congratulations on your continued success.
    My best,
    Annette
