Before and Afters

Longview Marcliffe Living Room

This living room was transformed from dark and dated to bright and current! Our team painted the entire room, including the built-in shelves which really made the room fabulous. We updated the furniture selections, added custom draperies and accessories. I love this room because it shows that you can completely change the look of your home without drastic and costly remodeling.

Longview Oakmont Study

This empty library was completely transformed into a beautiful study. This space is located at the top of the stairs, in between most of the bedrooms, so the homeowner wanted it to be the perfect spot to sit down before bedtime to relax.

Kannapolis Kitchen

From dark and dated to light and happy! This kitchen design was made complete with new fabulous chandeliers and light fixtures, updated furniture selections and gorgeous accessories.

Kannapolis Girls Room

Two sisters share this super fun space and it needed to be girly to the extreme. The girls now have the ideal space to play dress up and have their friends over!

Northshore Estate Family Room

This large family of seven loves hanging out in their rustic-luxe family room! Our team painted the shelves and changed the wall color to a softer neutral color. We added a large area rug to ground the space and add warmth to the room. Adding large-scale furniture to this grand space was essential and then finished with custom draperies and great lighting.

Longview Marcliffe Kitchen

What a gorgeous and fun kitchen to entertain in! Stunning new light fixtures, leathered granite countertops, tile backsplash and lots of paint completely transformed this room.

Longview Oakmont Great Room

This stunning room was transformed into an elegant great room. My client wanted this space to be conversational, so I set the seating in a configuration that is both conversational and comfortable. Additionally, to highlight the beautifully high ceilings, I installed a beautiful silver-patterned wallpaper on the side walls of the mantel, which draws the eyes up.

Northshore Estate Master Bedroom

My clients wanted to make their master bedroom a "retreat" away from the rest of their house and that's what I did. I kept the color scheme spa-like with soft blues, whites and grays. The super fluffy rug is the perfect wake up call for your toes in the morning. And of course: every beautiful retreat deserves a fabulous chandelier!

Northshore Estate Living Room

This formal living room is the first room you see when walking into this home, so it has to be showstopping. It was not used much and needed a facelift. Now, my clients spend time in this happy space reading a book or playing the piano. After a fresh coat of paint to brighten the space, beautiful draperies to highlight the view outside, lighter furniture selections: this room is now ready for it's moment in the spotlight!

Northshore Estate Teen Tiki Room

This grande room is all things "teen" and where my client's sons hang out with their friends, watch movies, play pool and do homework. We accomplished all of those things comfortably and stylishly by dividing the room up in different spaces. I added new lighting, painted the walls and ceiling a lighter color, updated the furniture from comfortable pieces and created a tiki/party atmosphere with fun accessories!

Northshore Estate Patio

Before the Lauren Nicole Designs team changed this patio, it wasn't getting as much use as it should. With such a beautiful view and large space: it needed to be lived in! We divided the space up in different areas to create a separation: the outdoor kitchen, pool lounging, outdoor entertaining and dining area, and master bedroom retreat and comfy seating. The buffalo check Sunbrella fabrics and seating is all super comfortable and durable for the outdoors.

Chantilly Conservatory

This room went through a major transformation. It was previously used as an office for this family-owned business. But my client decided it was finally time to get her house back and regain the use of this beautiful conservatory space. Instead of coming here to work, she can now come here to enjoy a cup of tea, relax before or after a busy day or to entertain friends and family, all while soaking up her beautiful wooded view. We added 4 additional chairs, an area rug to ground the conversation area, tables and lamps to provide hard surfaces and good lighting, draperies to frame the windows and add softness and texture to the space.

The wall of shelves that previously held office supplies now boasts beautiful accessories and is the bling that this room deserves. And while this room is done in a neutral color palette, it is still warm thanks to the rich textures, patterns and greenery inside and out. You don’t always need bold pops of color to create a statement.

This dining room was a catch all... the table held laundry, school projects, home projects, mail, you name it. But my client was ready to reclaim her space and make it an inviting space to host friends and family and celebrate special occasions.

This room is the first room you see when you enter the home so it was critical to have the WOW look. However, it also needed to be durable to stand up to kids and red sauce and red wine and chocolate! I used a durable faux white leather on the chairs so that they can be wiped down and resistant to all stains. The rug is a tightly woven wool that is stain resistant, to protect against spills. The credenza provides great storage as well as a place for serving. The chandelier is now scaled appropriately to the space, sleek silk draperies were added along with a variety of tabletop accessories, and a darling leopard bench adds interest by the window.

This dining room now lives up to the demands of this family and looks great too!

Fairway Vista Dining

My client purchased this home, but before signing on the dotted line called me in to make sure that she could make it 'hers'. Which really meant that she wanted to make sure she could make it light, bright and full of happy colors as opposed to the darker feel it originally had. I assured her we could turn it around. And voila! We did just that.

She quickly informed me that her favorite color is hot pink, even her wedding dress was pink! And while she could have been happy with hot pink on the walls, in the rug, on the chairs, I talked her off the pink ledge, and we used it as the pop of color in this very sleek and sophisticated dining space. I knew I wanted the hot pink in the dome and I balanced that with the ivory and grey greek key wallpaper. I also brought in pink in the beautifully embroidered drapery fabric. The chandelier was the perfect eye candy to balance out the ceiling.

Her space is now elegant enough to be her formal dining space and still inviting enough to host friends and family on a regular basis. Most importantly, it evokes her personality in the same sophisticated manner. It was a home run for her!

Fairway Vista Living

This room is not terribly large in size but needed to fill a lot of boxes on this family's wish list. It is straight ahead when you open the front door so it needed to be a show stopper. It is visible from most anywhere on the main floor because of their open concept floor plan. It is the family's main hang out space not only in the evening but most of the day given there is a one year old at home. And for any mama you know being close to the kitchen with a toddler is important! So this room needed to look good, provide seating, have storage and be durable and kid friendly. This designer mama to the rescue!

We selected only fabrics that were kid proof, puppy proof, & life proof and an engineered suede on the cocktail ottoman, which is oval so that there are no sharp edges AND the top lifts off for awesome storage inside! The dark bookcases were jazzed up with bright and shiny accessories. We swapped out the chandelier for better lighting, painted the inside of the coffered ceiling a beautiful orange to reflect my client's love of bright color and carried that style onto the chairs and pillows.

This room is ready to perform and look good doing it!
