Seasonal Scapes Summer Challenge

May 30, 2016

I’m super excited for our next Seasonal Scapes Challenge! Did you see the first one? It was all about that Spring Refresh for your home. Check it out HERE. I’m honored to share my Seasonal Summer Scape AND most importantly, the Summer Scapes of my beautiful and talented blog friends below. Each of us were given the task to add a pop of summer to our ‘scapes. This could be a mantlescape, tablescape, coffee tablescape, porchscape…the possibilities were endless, so creativity was shining bright!

I chose, just like the Spring Refresh, to summerize table in our store, Lauren Nicole Home.

DSC_0238It all started with the place-settings. I am loving these rope chargers that just arrived in our shop, so I made sure to incorporate them into the table.   DSC_0243I kept it light, beachy and airy by adding a beautifully simple white plate, glass plate and soft plaid napkin.

DSC_0244On top of the napkin, this happy clam is star of the show! How can you not love the color and beauty of these clams? The color of the clams paired nicely with the coffee mugs and water goblets. The bottled centerpiece is one of my favorite pieces in the store. You can put so many cool things in those bottles: wheat, fresh flowers, faux flowers, cotton…I could go on and on!

DSC_0245I added lightness and whimsy to our table with these LED strands. They are wispy, fun and set the mood for a calm ambiance.

DSC_0247Now, let’s see what our talented friends were up to in their Summer ‘Scapes! 🙂

My must have is fresh flowers! I think it adds a “POP” of country with the softness of romance to an outing.

When we entertain, I’m a huge fan of fruit infused/added waters and other beverages. Not only do they had some color but make the drinks more interesting!

Definitely food for entertaining, a grill, a seating area outside, outside decor (lights, cushions for seating, serving platters, mason jars, galvanized buckets for drinks, etc.), music, drinks, dessert, and outside yard games!

I have to have a canopy tent with net sides, I can’t stand flies flying around my food. So I keep all the food in the tent.

My must-have for summer parties is lots of festive outdoor lighting….lanterns, twinkle lights, rice lights for the table scape and colored spotlights on trees create the setting when we throw a big shindig

I just feel like fresh cut flowers on the kitchen table during the summer is a must! For outside I like having a pretty citronella candle going to keep bugs away.

Citronella candles are my out door party must have! Because it doesn’t matter what your theme is if your guest can’t enjoy it because of bugs!

My must have for summer parties is BUG SPRAY!!
Although I am not sure if it will help much this year because this is the summer of LOTS of big green worms, whatever they are called, they are in season!!
