Frequently Asked Questions
What style do you use in your design?
While some designers do have a specific style to their designs, my philosophy has always been to design for my clients wants and needs. All of my designs have to reflect the clients I am designing for.
How do you charge for your services?
I keep it very simple – If a client only needs me to consult on colors, a floorplan, lighting or finish selections, I charge an hourly rate. If we are working together on designing decor for your home – furnishings, window treatments, artwork, etc. you only pay for what you purchase.
We have recently started offering e-design services to work with you from near and afar on projects as small as selecting wallpaper for a powder room, or as large as a full home project that are all billed hourly.
Will you work within my budget?
Absolutely! Agreeing on your design investment is almost as important as the design itself. After our initial meeting, I develop a budget range for each piece in our design plan and together we agree what the investment range will be for every phase of a project.
Is there anything I can do to prepare for our first design meeting?
Yes! Whether you are the sole decision maker, or there are others involved in the decisions, addressing the following items are key – Timeframe? Budget? Design Priorities? Function and Feel?
Can I work on my design projects in phases?
Yes! We can tackle one room at a time, a floor at a time, or the whole home. When finishing one space at a time, we like to develop a master plan, so we know where we are going when the home is complete.
I'm renovating my kitchen, can you help with my design and selections?
Yes! New Builds and Renovations is a very large part of our business. We work with clients on floorplans, finish selections for small renovations to total home renovation or from the ground up new builds. Working with a designer from the very beginning of any renovation project is essential to avoid costly mistakes and changes.
